Nominate nonprofits for web makeover
Checkerboard Strategic Web Development is accepting nominations for its first Nonprofit Web Rescue contest. The winning nonprofit’s website will be re-done to look and function better and so that it is more discoverable by search engines. The winner also will get publicity work done as part of the package, valued at $15,000 to $20,000, along with a social media makeover.
“We want to know which nonprofits’ websites deserve a web rescue and why,” Checkerboard president Jason Kocina said. “By helping the winning charity present itself more effectively, we can improve its ability to make a difference for its cause.”
The public relations support will be provided by Media Relations.
Business professionals can nominate their favorite charities now through July 14. Public voting to determine the top five will take place at www.checkerboard.com and on the company’s Facebook page through July 28, and the winner will be announced on Aug. 11 and selected by Checkerboard from among the top five.
Eligible charities must have held a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status for a minimum of one year prior to the start of the contest.
