Linda Marie Thompson was born Aug. 1, 1949, in Red Wing, Minn., to the parents Byron and Phyllis (Sjoquist) Fox. She was a graduate of Cannon Falls High School and attended Mankato State University. While working at Chicago Ed's in Cannon Falls, she met Michael Thompson. They were united in marriage on May 3, 1969, at Spring Garden Lutheran Church, and made their home in Cannon Falls for several years where they raised their sons. In 1980, they moved out to the Sogn Valley where they enjoyed being in the rural area. Linda was employed at Midwest of Cannon Falls for 25 years where she made many friends through the years. Most recently, Linda enjoyed connecting with people while working at Scofield's Drug and Gift.

Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening, and cooking with her sons. Linda also treasured going out on the open road and spending time with Mike on the motorcycle. Her life touched many, and she will be greatly missed.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Michael of Dennison; three sons, Christopher (Cecelia) of Buffalo, N.Y., Jon (Ann) of North Mankato, Minn., and Bradley (Juli) of Eyota, Minn.; grandchildren Keegan, Amelia, Sophia, Sylvia, Elbie, Elliot, Byron, Landon, and Kerrick; sisters Marlene "Punky" (Gary) Castle of Dennison and Shirleen Fox of Cannon Falls; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
