Letter: United Way has new way you can Get Connected

To the Editor:

Fellow community members, do you know that one place you can go to learn all of the ways you can be active in the community?

United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha & Pierce Counties is excited to announce the launch of the new online volunteer program Get Connected, a one-stop shop to find volunteer opportunities and special events right here in our community.

Get Connected is an easy-to-use, web-based platform that matches the right volunteers, advocates and donors with the right opportunities in our neighborhoods. Use Get Connected to find ways to volunteer your time in ways that make a real difference, advocate for causes that require your passionate voice, attend special events, and give your unused materials and household items to agencies in need of donations.

Interested in giving back to the community? You can enroll as an individual or as a group with your workplace.

Does your agency rely on volunteer help to accomplish its mission? Enroll your organization as a user and post your needs and events.

The site is now live. Check it out. Get Connected today!
