Letter: Live your life fully
To the Editor:
I recently read an article about the elimination of trans fats from our diets. If trans fats were eliminated, 7,000 deaths annually could be eliminated. That will only leave 2.8 million people in the U.S. that will die from other reasons per year than by eating trans fats.
Unless you are one of those 7,000, trans fats really don’t matter to you.
Now, once we can eliminate the cause of death of the other 2.8 million per year, than we will have something. Eight percent of the population die every year and 12 percent are born. Give that some thought.
My research tells me fewer and fewer people are dying of old age. The greater majority die of some cause, but seldom old age.
The moral of the story is “Live your life, before someone decides they have a better way for your life to be lived.”
