It seems the Red Wing area is facing a true Minnesota winter this year, which could include enough snowfall to set a snow emergency in motion. Locals will need to follow the rules to avoid having vehicles ticketed and towed if one goes into effect.


When it snows or is expected to snow with accumulation of 6 inches or more, local officials can declare a snow emergency, which begins at 12:01 a.m.
