K-W school bus involved in crash

A Kenyon-Wanamingo School District bus carrying two students was involved in a crash in Roscoe Township Thursday morning, the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office reported.

The bus was backing out of a driveway on County Road 11 when it was struck just after 7 a.m. by an eastbound pick-up driven by Jeffrey Majerus, 44, of rural Wanamingo.

Majerus was transported by Zumbrota Ambulance to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries. The bus driver was transported, but has since been released. Neither of the students on board the bus was injured.

Majerus was driving into the sun at the time of the collision, the sheriff's office reported.

Wanamingo First Responders also assisted at the scene.
