Inmate makes first appearance in correctional officer assault
A 19-year-old man is facing third- and fourth-degree assault charges after allegedly assaulting a correctional officer at Minnesota Correctional Facility-Red Wing. Damon Scott Solis made his first appearance in Goodhue County Court Feb. 15.
According to a court complaint filed in Dec. 14, Solis, who is currently serving time at MCF-Red Wing, was let out of his cell Jan. 29, 2012.
