Holiday Art Fair planned at Crossings

Original works by four guest artists will join the creations of regular participants at the annual Holiday Art Fair and open house Nov. 18-21 at Crossings at Carnegie in Zumbrota.

The Nov. 18 opening, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., will be a "sneak peek" and wine tasting event, spokeswoman Valerie Kiger said. The art fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 20, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21.

Many of the participating artists will be on hand at various times during the weekend to talk about their creations. Members of the Crossings Clay Studio also will have their work on display.

Guest artists are:

• Laurie Riekmann of Frog in the Moon Studio, Rochester, who creates semi-precious gemstone jewelry, hand-crafted silver pendants and charms and items of precious metal clay.

• Amy Brooks of Bubbles by Brooks, Rochester, who makes cold-process soaps, shampoo bars, lotions, lip balm, bath gels and candles, all free of artificial preservatives.

• William Lange of CopperWorks, Owatonna, Minn., who hand crafts sculptures for the home and garden, making his first Crossings appearance.

• Lana Sjoberg, the "hat lady" from Hudson, Wis., who makes funky, one-of-a-kind fleece headwear and outerwear.
