Goodhue student wins eagle essay contest
Goodhue High School student Holly Husband won this year's Eagle Nature Foundation Essay Contest, which was themed "Should Bald Eagles Take Precedence over Wind Projects?"
Husband is the daughter of Tom and LeAnn Husband of Goodhue. She was one of a handful of students within 50 miles of National Eagle Foundation locations in Rochester and Apple River, Ill., who entered the contest.
Husband was honored at the International Eagle Days Conference held Oct. 25-27 in Rochester. She earned a trophy, certificate and cash prize of $50 for herself, as well as $50 for Goodhue Public School.
