Scott Peder Olson Jr., 27, was arrested late Saturday after the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office received a call stating that Olson was allegedly attempting to gain entry to a home in Dennison.

According to the complaint, Olson sent one of the residents of the home a text message stating he was coming over and, after pounding on the front door, he kicked in a door to the garage and tried to kick in another door to the home.

One person in the home said she “feared for her life.”

Olson was convicted of a felony no-contact order violation and a gross misdemeanor domestic assault charge in Goodhue County in October 2011.

Olson was also convicted on a felony terroristic threat charge in Le Sueur County in December 2008.

First-degree burglary is punishable by 20 years in prison and a $35,000 fine, second-degree burglary is punishable by 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. Both felony counts of domestic assault carry a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment and a $10,000 fine and fourth-degree damage to property has a 90 day imprisonment and $1,000 fine maximum sentence.

Olson’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 6.
