Golf: Bomber girls beat Triton

The Cannon Falls girls golf team secured a home dual meet over Triton on Thursday at the Cannon Golf Club.

The Bomber girls, led by Caroline Bowen’s nine-hole score of 51, edged the visiting Cobras 216-228. Lauren Lecy (54), Liz Freeberg (55) and Maddie Moskal (56) rounded out Cannon Falls’ varsity score. Triton was led by Gretchen Keller, who took medalist honors with a round of 48.

In the boys’ match, the Cobras’ Zach Otto was the medalist after carding a 41 on the way to a 173-182 Triton victory. Ethan Otterbein and Jaden Thiemann followed with a 42 and 43, respectively. The Bombers were led by Matt Moskal and Jonah Callister, who finished with 43 and 44, respectively.
