Springing out to a 45-16 halftime lead, fourth-ranked (1A) Goodhue had little trouble disposing of Cannon Falls with a 73-40 Hiawatha Valley League victory Monday in Cannon Falls.

Mikayla Miller led the Wildcats with a game-high 19 points. Michelle Hadler had 10 points, and Meredith Watson added 10 points and six rebounds. Sydney Lodermeier had nine points, Megan Ryan had eight points, and Shelby Hinsch capped off the night with eight points and six steals.

The Bombers’ leading scorer was Ashly Serres, who finished with nine points.

Winners of seven of its last eight games, Goodhue (17-4, 10-3 HVL) heads to Pine Island on Friday. Cannon Falls (3-15, 1-12 HVL) faces Christ Household of Faith Thursday in St. Paul
