The loss was Red Wing’s fourth in a row.

“We played hard and we were competitive. Much better than we were (Friday against Chaska),” said Wingers’ head coach Dave Muelken. “They shot well from outside.”

Maizie Deihl hit four of the Trojans’ 3-pointers, finishing with a team-high 18 points. Jess Allar added 14 in the win.

“They’d penetrate and kick and made their shots. They had four different kids hit 3-pointers,” Dave Muelken said. “We held (Deihl) to four points in the second half, but they had other step up for them.”

McKenzie Muelken scored a game-high 20 points for the Wingers, and McKenzie Cota had 15 points. Kara Norvet tallied seven rebounds and four assists, and McKayla “Bubba” Muelken had a career-high seven rebounds to go with two assists and two steals.

Looking for their first win since Jan. 17, the Wingers (6-10, 2-5 Missota) host Kasson-Mantorville on Thursday for a non-conference game, then end the week on Friday at Farmington.
