Cannon Falls started hot, going on an 11-2 run for a 19-10 lead with 8 minutes, 7 seconds left in the first half. Lake City would not be held down for long, scoring the next 13 points to go up 23-19 before taking a 31-29 halftime lead.

Led by the trio of Breanna Gates, Madi Green and Bailey Cronin, the Tigers pulled away in the second half on the way to their third straight victory. Gates had a game-high 18 points, while Green added 13 and Cronin finished with 12 points. Defensively, Lake City gave the Bombers’ point guards fits, forcing 10 turnovers out of Cannon Falls’ main ball-handlers.

Tayler Banitt became the ninth player to lead the Bombers in scoring this season with a team-high 10 points. Courtney Woodcock had nine points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and Grace Rutter tallied eight points in the loss.
