Frontenac woman responds to Red Cross' call for help
The American Red Cross has deployed Andrea Swanson of Frontenac to help with flood relief efforts in Illinois. She will be volunteering in the area of disaster mental health. She will provide crisis interventions, mental health screening and assessment and emotional care and support to the victims of the disaster, the Red Cross of Winona, Wabasha and Goodhue Counties said.
Swanson left for Moline, Ill., on Sunday. She was previously deployed to the East Coast to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
