Frances Rosener, 80
Frances June Rosener, age 80, died Saturday, Aug. 24, at her residence in Red Wing.
She was born June 29, 1933, in Mantorville, Minn., to Haven and Gertrude (Posey) Schuck. She grew up and attended school in Mantorville and attended 1 year of college at Winona State University. She met Ernest Rosener at a café in Red Wing, and they married on Nov. 9, 1952, in Mantorville. She raised four kids and worked at Larry's Broiler, Pirius Bakery, and Red Wing Shoe where she retired from after 25 years of service.
Frances was a member of the Red Wing Elks Lodge #845. She enjoyed reading, going to the casino, golfing, camping, dancing, traveling, and most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest; four children, Linda (Lonnie) Nelson of Lake City, Arne (Arlene) Rosener of Red Wing, Dave (Gina) Rosener of Brooklyn Park, Nancy Rosener of Red Wing; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Blair (Sarah) Schuck of Hager City, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Anne Schuck of Berne, Minn., and Vera Schuck of Kasson, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Haven and Gertrude Schuck; brothers, William and George Schuck.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
