The region has many top employers, and the best in 2012 included four local firms, according to the Workforce Development Inc.

The non-profit agency held its "Best Places to Work" award ceremony April 26.

Commercial Water Distributing in Zumbrota and RMX Manufacturing in Lake City won in the small employer category. This is for firms with 75 or fewer employees.
