ZUMBROTA – With little experience and a small roster, Zumbrota-Mazeppa knew they needed a near-perfect effort to keep up with Byron.


Things looked good when the Cougars opened with a 15-yard run. But on the next play, the Bears intercepted a Kurt Gadient pass, and Byron was able to roll from there.

Going up 27-0 at halftime, the Bears cruised to a 41-13 victory at Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School.
