Fire, police departments respond to injury on Barn Bluff
Red Wing firefighter/paramedics responded to the north trail of Barn Bluff on Friday afternoon to assist an individual requiring medical care, the department reported. The call came at 4:04 p.m.
The patient was found injured on the trail and carried out on a stretcher with a wheel assist, the fire department reported. The patient was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing at 5:41 p.m. and was in stable condition at the time.
The Red Wing Police Department assisted with the rescue, and six full-time firefighter/paramedics and five paid on call firefighters responded.
The fire department reminded the public to use "extreme caution" on the north trail and observe all closed trail signs.
