Fire damages Welch home; no injuries reported

WELCH -- A fire destroyed an upper-level living space and caused major smoke damage to a house in Welch Township Thursday morning, the Red Wing Fire Department reported. There were no injuries.


Homeowner Gary Miller was alerted to the fire by smoke alarms and called 911 around 9:40 a.m., officials said. Firefighters and paramedics were on the scene at 6170 Bunch Road within 10 minutes.
