FEMA grant to help homeless
Three Rivers Community Action received a $13,096 grant from FEMA’s Emergency Food & Shelter Program to help the homeless and hungry in Goodhue, Rice and Wabasha counties. An additional $7,898 will be available for residents of Olmsted County.
A local board of representatives from the four counties will make recommendations on how to distribute the funds to area service providers. To be eligible, a provider must deliver a written request no later than Jan. 17. For more information contact Family Advocacy Services Director Colleen Hansen at 507-732-8511.
