Supt. Karsten Anderson told the board that the district may want to start looking into hiring another company to help it through its long-range facility planning process.

The board currently works with Minneapolis-based DLR Group, which helped evaluate its current facilities and came up with building proposals before last November's facilities bond vote. That vote, which ultimately failed, asked residents to approve a $33 million bond to consolidate the elementary schools and deal with deferred maintenance throughout the district.

Anderson said he thinks the facilities planning process has stalled. He said the district could look at hiring a new company to help them move forward while still using DLR Group's architectural services.

Board members agreed, though no formal decisions have been made.

Long-range facilities planning came up multiple times in Monday evening's meeting. Activities Director Matt Schultz mentioned issues with the high school track and the tennis courts during his activities update.
