Dayton proclaims Sept. 29 to be Anderson Center Day
Gov. Mark Dayton has proclaimed today, Sept. 29, as Anderson Center Day.
In his proclamation, Dayton said the Anderson Center at Tower View "plays a vital and dynamic role upholding Minnesota's heritage in the arts." The restoration of the center provides an opportunity to celebrate the Anderson Center's contributions to the Red Wing area, state and arts community, Dayton added.
Twelve years and $4 million after the first renovation project at the A.P. Anderson estate was undertaken, Tower View is finished. The center is celebrating today the completion of the last pieces of the Anderson Center complex -- the historic barn and silo.
