Danny Arthur Holden, 59
Danny Arthur Holden, age 59, of Hager City, Wis., died Thursday, Dec. 19, following a short battle with cancer, at his home surrounded by his family.
Danny was born on July 21, 1954, in Red Wing, Minn., the son of Gerald and Alberta (Rosenberg) Holden. He was a graduate of Ellsworth High School and on Sept. 8, 1973, he married Sharleen Hanson at Bethel Covenant Church, Ellsworth, Wis.
Danny worked for many years for Foley Wood Products in Ellsworth until it was sold. For a few years he did odd jobs until taking a position with the village of Bay City as their public works director.
Danny was an avid Packer fan and loved to bowl and golf in his free time. He was also the announcer, for many years, for the Ellsworth Hubbers baseball team.
Danny is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sharleen of Hager City; two daughters: Tina (Dick) Rohl, Ellsworth, and Tammy (fianc Randy Patrow) Mears, Beldenville, Wis.; two granddaughters: Makayla, and Khloe; a sister Jo Holden, Red Wing. Danny is further survived by nieces; nephews; in-laws; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and three sisters Diane Raney, June Schommer, and Anita Maxwell.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Bethel Covenant Church, Ellsworth, Wis. Visitation will be at the church from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
