Dairy herd health seminar is Feb. 15
The Pierce and St. Croix County Extension offices will hold a dairy herd health seminar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 15 at the American Legion Hall in Baldwin, Wis. The program is designed to help producers achieve and maintain a profitable health status.
The topics and speakers will include: "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Reproductive Management Programs," by Paul Fricke, dairy cattle reproduction specialist; "Treatment of Mastitis to Maximize Quality and Reduce Residues," by Pam Ruegg, veterinarian and milk quality specialist; "Transition Cow Feeding Management," by Randy Shaver, dairy nutrition specialist; and "Hot Cows! Antibiotic Residues in Dairy Cattle," by Jim Campbell.
The cost is $20. Pre-registration is required. Registrations received after Feb. 11 will be $25. Make checks payable to UW-Extension and mail reservations to the Pierce County Extension, 412 W. Kinne St., Box 69, Ellsworth, WI 54011.
