Eric Hokanson and Ben Nystuen finished back-to-back for the Zumbrota-Mazeppa/Kenyon-Wanamingo boys cross-country team Thursday at the Hayfield Invitational. Hokanson placed 10th with a time of 18 minutes, 29.4 seconds with Nystuen coming in 11th at 18:38.3.


Overall, ZM/KW took third in the meet with 100 points, well behind champion Plainview-Elgin-Millville’s 43. Rochester John Marshall took second with 44 points.

Skyler Jacobson led the ZM/KW girls to a fourth place finish with her own seventh-place finish in 17:08.3. John Marshall won the girls event with 60 points. ZM/KW finished with 116 points. Callie Ryan also had a top-20 finish for ZM/KW, taking 16th with a run of 18:09.7.
