County track teams compete at New Richmond Relays

NEW RICHMOND - Both Ellsworth and Prescott high school track teams competed in the New Richmond Relays Monday.

The meet was originally scheduled for Friday but was rescheduled for Monday due to last week's snowstorm.

In the boys' meet Prescott finished fifth out of 10 team and Ellsworth was seventh. PHS's boys won the 1600-meter sprint medley relay while Ellsworth's Alex Campbell won both the high jump with a leap of six feet, and the triple jump with a mark of 43-2. Other top three finishers from the county were Ellsworth's boys 400-meter relay team, second and Prescott's Nick Jacobsen, third in both the shot put and discus.

Ellsworth's girls team finished sixth and Prescott was seventh. Prescott's 1600-meter sprint medley team finished third and their 3200-meter relay squad was second.
