County Board will discuss employee complaints
Goodhue County Board will hold a special session 8 a.m. Tuesday to review complaints against three county officials.
Betcher would not provide details on the nature of the complaints, but he said the county hired an outside investigator to look into them.
Robinson, who also serves as the county’s legislative liaison and mayor of Cannon Falls, garnered attention after the discovery last month of a 2010 sexual harassment reprimand he received while working as VSO in Washington County.
A 2010 Washington County investigation found Robinson “exhibited a pattern of inappropriate eye contact of looking and staring at breasts of multiple female employees in the Community Services Department.” He was ordered to attend a workplace training session in November of that year.
Robinson did not disclose the reprimand during the interview process with Goodhue County and commissioners were not made aware of it before voting to approve hiring him at a meeting March 18.
The board previously met with Betcher in closed session April 15 to get confidential legal advice about a personnel matter. The specifics of that meeting were not made public in accordance with the Minnesota Open Meeting Law.
Tuesday’s meeting will be held in the Government Center boardroom.
