Three Pine Island homeowners affected by the September floods will receive property tax breaks under a plan the Goodhue County Board approved Nov. 30.

Nicklus and Tasha Goranson of 110 Main St., Terry Waletzko and R Green of 106 First Ave. NE., and Wells Fargo Bank, the owner of the home at 109 First Ave. N.E., will receive tax abatements for payable 2010 taxes up to the amount of reported damages. The homeowners all reported damage of over 50 percent of property value from the September storms, making them eligible for the abatements.
