Car strikes two trees, two lawn ornaments
At about 7:40 a.m. Sunday, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department responded to a one-car crash on U.S. Highway 10 near the intersection with County Highway J.
Andrew Francis Lacoursiere, 49, of rural Ellsworth, was driving west when his vehicle left the road and struck two trees and two concrete lawn ornaments, the sheriff's department reported.
Law enforcement officials could not determine the exact time of the crash but believed that Lacoursiere had been trapped in his vehicle for quite a while in single-digit temperatures. He was transported to Regions Hospital by the Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service with undetermined injuries.
Ellsworth Area Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
