River Valley Power and Sport has a new location in Red Wing.

John Wooden, president of River Valley Power and Sport, said his company simply outgrew its current location, according to a press release.

River Valley Power and Sport will move down the road from their current location at 3399 S. Service Drive to 3859 S. Service Drive, the location of the former Auto Connection.

“At 30,000 square feet our new building will provide much-needed showroom space to adequately display all of our product lines,” Wooden said. “We’ve grown so fast in the last few years and added so many product lines that our present location simply ran out of room.”

When Monterey boats were thrown into the mix of products the decision to find more space was made much easier, Wooden said.

Wooden said the new location will allow for year-round showroom and a vastly expanded service department.

Wooden opened the Red Wing store at its current location in 1996, expanded to a store in Rochester 13 years later and also has a location on Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata, which was opened in January 2013.

•Short Elliott Hendrickson and Yaggy Colby Associates have announced their intent to merge.

“Early in the due diligence process, we recognized the value in serving additional geographies and bringing additional areas of technical expertise to our clients,” SEH CEO/president Sam Claassen said. “Much like SEH, Yaggy’s work is well-known, well respected and award-winning. We look forward to leveraging the talents of both companies for the benefit of our clients, our employees and ultimately for the world around us.”

The merger is expected to be complete by June 1.
