Buffalo shot near Roscoe Township

A wandering buffalo was shot Thursday, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported. A call came in at about 1:10 p.m. that a loose buffalo was crossing Highway 60 in Minneola Township. The case was passed on to the State Patrol.

Another call came to the sheriff's department at about 6:20 p.m. that the same buffalo was on or near County Road 10 in Roscoe Township. Officers tried to contact the owner, Gregg Spindahl of Zumbrota, but were unable to reach him or corral the animal. The buffalo was shot and taken to Zumbrota Livestock, according to the sheriff's department.
