St. Brigid's at Hi-Park is among the nation's best, receiving the five-star rating. Seminary Home received the four-star rating.

"I'm absolutely delighted by our employee's dedication to our teams. Without the hard work of our employees and leaders, we would not be able to hold this high honor," Jake Goering said in a statement. He is the CEO/administrator for St. Crispin Living Community.

The news organization based its ratings on data that is part of the Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid nursing home compare tool. The magazine awarded the Best Nursing Home title to those facilities that recently earned an overall rating of five stars. Each facility is also rated separately on quality of care, health inspection record and level of nurse staffing.

The ratings cover nursing homes in every state and nearly 100 major metropolitan areas. They cover more than 15,000 facilities nationwide and can be accessed at www.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes.

More than 3 million Americans will spend at least part of 2013 in a nursing facility. The U.S. News report is designed to help people choose and evaluate long-term care settings near their homes and homes of family members.
