Women's Network will meet at noon May 11 at the St. James Hotel. Molly McCloskey of Dublin, Ireland, and current resident at the Anderson Center, will speak. She has written four books, taught at the Irish Writers Centre and her volunteer work includes founding a rape crisis center. Scholarships offered for peace officer training
The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association is offering scholarships of up to $750 to students studying to be peace officers. Applicants must be enrolled in a peace officer training program or were enrolled within the last year.
Scholarship applications must be endorsed by a chief law enforcement officer in his or her city. Scholarship deadline is July 15. For more information, visit www.mnchiefs.org.

Save MNGL will hold a public forum at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Red Wing Public Library on the potential sale of Mississippi National Golf Links. People will discuss alternatives to a sale, the legal risks of private ownership and an overview of documents obtained from the city.
