Boys track and field: Johnson, Blahnik help Wingers to third-place finish

Red Wing led for much of the Missota Conference Championships, according to coach Adam Nelson, but the Wingers had to settle for third Thursday at Farmington. Red Wing scored 147 points and finished three points behind second-place Chanhassen.

Shakopee won the eight-school competition with 182.5 points.

"Overall we had a really good meet," Nelson said. "A lot of coaches complimented us on how improved we were as a team."
