Fritz Belisle and Mitch Ramstad scored 49 seconds apart to open the second period, but Red Wing could not hold off Shakopee Thursday night, falling 5-3 to the Sabers in Missota Conference action.

Winger Tristan Rehder scored 13 minutes, 56 seconds into the second period to tie the game, but Shakopee rebounded with two goals in the third to claim the league victory. Sam Hanson had two assists on the night for Red Wing (3-20 overall, 2-10 Missota) who will visit New Prague Tuesday before closing out the final Missota Conference season by hosting Chaska Thursday.

Winger goaltender Adam Defore made 38 saves in the loss while Shakopee’s Andrew Lyon stopped 52 of the 55 shots against him.
