Goodhue native crowned Princess Kay of the Milky Way

Boys Golf: Lake City second to Owatonna

Eight teams converged on The Jewel Golf Club in Lake City on Monday, and it was Owatonna who emerged victorious with a score of 295. The host Tigers took second with a 318, followed by Rochester Mayo (319), Byron (320), Rochester Lourdes (326), Park of Cottage Grove (329), Rochester John Marshall (344) and Wabasha-Kellogg (390).

Lake City was led by Brennan Rothgarn’s 76, which was seven strokes shy of medalist Peter Jones of Owatonna, who shot a 2-under-par 69. Cory Dick and Parker Schurhammer both shot 79, while Sam Klipfel came in at 84.

The Tigers will host a Hiawatha Valley League dual against Triton on Thursday, followed by the HVL Conference tournament on Friday at Mt. Frontenac Golf Course.
