After hitting five straight 3-pointers, Lake City took the lead over Kingsland with 12 minutes, 4 seconds remaining in Saturday’s non-conference game. But the Tigers could not slow down the opposition as the Knights came away with a 42-35 home victory.

Jesse Oliver was a perfect 5-for-5 from 3-point range on the way to leading Lake City with 16 points. Cory Dick had seven points, and Matt Glasenapp added six in the loss.

Kingsland’s top offensive player was Quinn Larson, who had a team-high 14 points. The Knights also had a 10-point advantage at the free-throw line, going 15 of 24 from the stripe, compared to 5 of 10 for Lake City.

The Tigers (2-4) are on the road Tuesday against sixth-ranked (Class 2A) Rochester Lourdes.
