Boys Basketball: Goodhue nabs first HVL victory
Goodhue managed to pick up its first Hiawatha Valley League win of the season after defeating Triton 56-36 Tuesday in Goodhue.
Pacing the Wildcats’ attack was Riley Bollum, who shot 7 of 8 from 2-point range on the way to a 16-point night. He also had three rebounds and two steals. Riley Augustine finished with 11 points, and Tyler Schumacher added nine points in the win.
Isaiah Wannarka had a team-best 10 points for the Cobras. No other Triton player finished higher than six points despite the team shooting 41 percent from the field.
Goodhue (2-4, 1-4 HVL) stays at home Thursday for a non-conference game against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.
