Boys Basketball: Career highs not enough for Lake City
Lake City’s Reid Lundell returned from injury and scored a career-high 26 points, but it was not enough for the Tigers as they lost 66-52 to sixth-ranked (2A) Rochester Lourdes Tuesday in Rochester.
Lundell finished 9 of 15 from the field and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line. Along with Lundell, Cory Dick had a career-high 11 points, along with six rebounds and three assists.
The Eagles’ Jacob Schaefer led all scorers with 31 points on 12-for-20 shooting, and Ryan Braun came up with 16 points in Lourdes’ Hiawatha Valley League victory.
Lake City (2-5, 1-3 HVL) travels to Kasson-Mantorville on Friday.
