Boys Basketball: Bombers roll in HVL win over Triton
Cannon Falls won its fourth straight Hiawatha Valley League contest on Tuesday after knocking off Triton 68-47 in Dodge Center.
“After a heartbreaker Monday (against Waseca), we came back and played well,” said Bombers’ head coach Josh Davisson. “There wasn’t a whole lot of time to think about the loss; we had to go forward and play again. And it was good to get another HVL Blue win tonight.”
Pacing Cannon Falls was Brock Peterson, who finished with 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Hunter Johnson chipped in with 12 points and five assists, and Tanner Carlson scored 10 in the victory. Alex Bultena put up nine points and five boards.
Isaiah Wannarka was the Cobras’ top scorer with 15 points.
The Bombers (11-8, 8-3 HVL) travel to Zumbrota-Mazeppa on Friday.
