Boys Basketball: Bombers' offense strong in win over Wildcats
Led by Jordan Lundell’s 20 points, Cannon Falls shot 59 percent from the field to help pull away from Goodhue for a 61-57 Hiawatha Valley League victory Friday in Cannon Falls.
Along with Lundell’s big night, Hunter Johnson had 15 points and Alex Bultena finished with 10. The Bombers shot 9 of 15 from 3-point range, with Lundell hitting four 3s.
The Wildcats’ Riley Bollum led all scorers with 20 points, while Tyler Schumacher and Riley Augustine finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Schumacher also finished his night with seven rebounds and four assists.
The Bombers (10-7, 7-3 HVL) host Waseca on Monday while the Wildcats (9-6, 3-6 HVL) take on La Crescent at 6:30 p.m. today in Goodhue.
