Boys Basketball: Bombers hang on for win over Lourdes
Trailing by as much as 10 points in the second half, Cannon Falls climbed back against Rochester Lourdes on Friday. And after finally taking the lead with a Tanner Carlson layup following a Hunter Johnson steal, the Bombers never relinquished the lead on the way to a 54-53 Hiawatha Valley League home victory.
Coming away with a career night for Cannon Falls was senior Alex Bultena, who scored a career-best 27 points to go with three steals and three assists. Johnson finished with 10 points, four steals and three helpers, and Tanner Carlson and Brock Peterson had eight and seven points, respectively.
The Eagles’ Jacob Schaefer finished with a game-high 28 points in the loss.
Now 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the HVL, Cannon Falls stays at home today against Minnehaha Academy.
