Boys Basketball: Bombers fall in border battle

Crossing the border to take on Prescott, Cannon Falls could not find the hoop on Monday as the Bombers shot 29 percent from the field on the way to a 58-42 loss.

With the team struggling to find its shot, Cannon Falls was led by Hunter Johnson’s eight points. Brock Peterson and Peter Haggerty had seven and six points, respectively, and Austin Noble tallied seven points and seven rebounds in the loss.

The Cardinals had three players finish in double digits, led by Clay Seifert’s 17 points. Marty Harris and Charlie Tayson also reached double figures with 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Still looking for its first win, Cannon Falls (0-3) will host Stewartville Tuesday.
