A timely assist from Pete Clark set Charles Kryzer up for a layup with 46 seconds left in overtime to help Bethlehem Academy of Faribault to a 69-65 overtime victory over Zumbrota-Mazeppa Monday in Faribault. 

Trailing 60-57 late in the second half, the Cougars' Jacob Tschann hit a 3-pointer with 26 seconds left to force the game into an extra period. 

Z-M got big nights offensively from Kurt Gadient and Ellis Hirman as both finished with 16 points. Gadient was 5 of 12 shooting with six rebounds (four offensive), and Hirman also hauled in 12 rebounds and swiped five steals. 

Jacob Ugland patrolled the paint for the Cougars, finishing with 11 points and six boards. 

The Cardinals' Joe Matejcek had a game-high 17 points, while teammate Kyle Novak chipped in with 16 points and six rebounds. 

On Friday, Z-M (1-7) heads to the Annandale holiday tournament and will open play at 8 p.m. against the host Cardinals.
