Kenyon-Wanamingo traveled to Goodhue Tuesday and came away with an 11-0, 6-4 sweep in a pair of six-inning games.

The Knights scored 11 runs on 14 hits in Game 1 and took advantage of six errors by the Wildcats, including four in the sixth inning that led to nine runs for K-W.

Alex Thomforde threw 5 2/3 innings for Goodhue, giving up two earned runs on 12 hits and no walks while striking out three. Austin Buck, Riley Bollum and Tyler Schumacher each went 1-for-2 at the plate for the Wildcats.

The Knights got a complete game from Alex Roosen, who gave up three hits and struck out eight.

"Roosen kept our hitters off-balance," Goodhue head coach Eric Schofield said. "He was a good, hard-throwing pitcher and did a good job for them tonight."

In Game 2, the Wildcats took a 3-0 lead after the top half of the first inning but K-W responded with a run in the bottom of the first inning and five in the third inning to take a 6-3 lead.

Goodhue added a run in the sixth inning.

Drew Sathrum pitched the Knights' second complete game of the day, allowing three earned runs on eight hits and two walks. He struck out 10. Alex Roosen went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI in Game 2 and Sam Roosen was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI.

Andy Johnson led the Wildcats (2-8, 0-6 HVL Blue) at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI.

Goodhue will take part in the Stewartville Invitational on Friday.
