Audubon to hear bird-banding tales
Sharon Stiteler, National Park ranger and international speaker storyteller, will be the featured guest speaker at the monthly Upper Hiawatha Valley Audubon Chapter meeting Tuesday April 16. The event will be at 7 p.m. at the Red Wing Izaak Walton League.
Ever wonder what it is like to hold a pelican and have it vomit on you? Sharon has participated in banding birds as large as bald eagles and as small as ruby-crowned kinglets. She will share several humorous and educational experiences.
The event is free and open to the public.
