Lake City defeated the Austin BlueSox Friday 7-0 in Lake City.

Zach Wolfe went 1-for-4 with three RBI while Brett Gwaltney finished 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run and Matt Miller drove in a run and went 1-for-4. Chris Sill was 2-for-4 with a run.

Eric Sandstrom pitched an eight-hit shutout. Sandstrom did not allow a walk and struck out nine.

The Serpents took a 3-0 lead after the first inning, added a run in the third and tacked on three more in the fourth.

Cannon Falls 8, Miesville 4

Aaron Stein threw eight effective innings for Cannon Falls Friday in an 8-4 victory over Miesville in Miesville.

Stein gave up four runs on nine hits, walked three and struck out five in the victory.

Brandon Voth led the Bears with a 3-for-4 performance and two RBI. Zeke Williams, Luke Winchell, Rich Burr and Stein added RBI base hits. Burr and Winchell went 2-for-4.

Miesville 3, Lake City 2

Miesville held off Lake City 3-2 Sunday in Lake City.

Erik Olson scattered nine hits in a complete-game performance. Olson allowed two unearned runs, did not allow a walk and struck out 10.

Matt Van Der Bosch and Matt Hanse drove in a run each for the Mudhens. Van Der Bosch went 1-for-1 with two walks and a run. David Olson, Andrew Werner and Chris Couillard all had hits for Miesville.

The Serpents held a 1-0 lead after the first inning but the Mudhens got single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to build a 3-1 lead. Lake City rallied for a run in the eighth for the 3-2 final.

The Serpents outhit the Mudhens 9-4 and got two-hit games from Matt Miller, Chris Sill and Derek Sogla. Jordan Rishavy had the lone RBI for Lake City.

Brandon Gosse went seven innings for the Serpents and allowed two earned runs on four hits, walked six and struck out two.
