Area amateur baseball: Bay City 13, Plum City 3 (7 inning)
Derek Ulvenes hit a grand slam in the fifth and a two-run, walk-off single in the seventh to lift the host Bombers to victory.
Ulvenes finished 4-for-4 with a run and six RBI Saturday.
"He'd kind of been our linchpin this year in the middle of the lineup," Bay City player/manager Tony Schultz said.
Schultz moved Ulvenes down to the four-hole for the game because Dan Roschen suffered a work-related eye injury during the week and will be out the next couple weeks, according to Schultz.
"(Roschen's) been one of our best hitters so it was big to have Derek step up," Schultz said.
Cole Kuesel earned the win by pitching four innings of scoreless relief. He struck out three and walked one.
