Combining for 33 hits and 25 runs, Miesville survived Wednesday’s offensive showcase with Lake City with a 14-11 Classic Cannon Valley League victory in Miesville.

David Vogelgesang was the Mudhens’ top hitter, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI and a double. Matt Van Der Bosch and Colin Keefe each tallied two hits and an RBI apiece, and Charles Bruchu went 1-for-6 with two runs scored and a stolen base.

For the Serpents, Brett Gwaltney went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored, and Matt Miller added three hits, two RBI and a run scored. Austin Baab finished 4-for-5 with two runs scored as Lake City finished with 19 hits, but also had five errors.

The Serpents returns to action Tuesday at Austin.
